Each one of us at Stellar Health and Wellness understand that most people would love to look better or feel better. It would be amazing to simply take a ‘magic pill’ that can melt the excess fat from our bodies in a short amount of time without exercising or changing our diet. Realistically, these ‘magic pills’ or fad diets do not actually work, and they do not fix the habits that cause us to accumulate extra body fat. The best way to feel good and look good is to focus on getting healthy.
Before you start a new diet fad, ask yourself the following questions. What are you consuming? Is it real food? Can your body absorb the nutrients? What habits will you learn from this new diet?
COMMON INGREDIENTS TO AVOID
If you are considering taking a new supplement or dietary pill, first take a look at the ingredients. Not only may some of the ingredients be in a state that your body can not absorb but there may also be some ingredients that have negative effects on your health.
Avoid Soy. Soy is genetically modified and can cause leaky gut, intestinal inflammation, and mess with your hormones. Say ‘no’ to soy.
Avoid Canola Oil. Canola oil comes from rapeseed which is the main ingredient in Agent Orange! Canola oil is not a healthy choice, avoid this!
